ArtSpring Opening Reception, April 21, 2023: 5:00-7:00pm. FREE. PLEASE RSVP.

ArtSpring is proud to present its first international visual art exhibition, as part of a unique and important cultural exchange between two of North America’s most feted arts communities - the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia and the San Juan Islands of Washington State. The exhibition is a collaboration with Salt Spring Arts and San Juan Islands Museum of Art.

Join us, local and visiting artists, and dignitaries including the Honourable Lana Popham, BC Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, and Sport, and Adam Olsen, MLA of Saanich North and the Islands, as we open the collections of six of the finest artists from the San Juan Islands including:

Danielle Dean (photography) Glenn Hendrick (printmaking) Joe Miller (oil painting, watercolour) RaVae Luckhart (oil painting, mixed media) Raven Skyriver (glass) Tom Small (stone sculpture)

In turn, at Mahon Hall, Salt Spring Arts will be presenting six of the finest visual artists working in the Southern Gulf Islands (April 14-30) who will then be shown in September 22-December 4 in the San Juans.
