CORY WEEDS QUARTET

The Treasure Fair concert is back - and we welcome jazz saxophonist Cory Weeds to help us celebrate our fundraising weekend.

The Cory Weeds Quartet features Nick Peck on piano, John Lee on bass, and Graham Villette on drums.

Weeds was recently described as paddling mid-stream in the mainstream, and that is fine with the tenor saxophonist who boasts an expressive sound rooted in jazz tradition.

A label-owner tirelessly documenting unsung jazz heroes, one of Canada’s most important jazz impresarios, the hardest-working man in jazz business – Cory Weeds is all of these things, and much more. Weeds puts together an all star band that will play music from his recent recording Just Coolin.
