Viva Chorale Concert - Water Circle

Viva Chorale’s Water Circle Concert, in collaboration with award-winning storyteller and performance artist Anne Glover, will move you from laughter to tears in this thought-provoking presentation of story and song. As we delve into the depths of all things water, our music will explore various physical stages of the water cycle, their effects and importance, with stories from China, the Middle East, India and Greece. Musical repertoire will feature Morten Lauridsen’s “Dirait’on”, “Rain, Rain Beautiful Rain” as recorded by the Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and the spiritual “Wade in the Water” arranged by Norman Luboff. Canadian works include Ron Smail’s arrangement of Stan Rogers’ song “Make and Break Harbour", and Larry Nickel’s beautiful setting of the Robert Frost poem “Stopping by Woods”. Katerina Gimon’s new composition “Fire” will knock your socks off! 

Viva Chorale! is directed by Caroni Young and is accompanied by Diana English on piano.
