MAKANA YOUTH CHOIR CONCERT 1

Come see the Makana Youth Choir in action with their concert Winter Fantasy.

These young singers from grades 2-5 will show you their enthusiasm and joy this Holiday Season. With a focus on teaching musical concepts such as harmony, tone and note reading come see what these young singers are learning. The concert will feature some fun Christmas arrangements about finishing all your holiday shopping in good spirits. There are songs about Freedom and Peace in Joan Beckow’s beautiful arrangement of the Hebrew prayer “Oseh Shalom” and the traditional American Spritual “The Water Is Wide”. The program will include a folk song by Aaron Copland called “Ching-A-Ring Chaw”. This toe tapping concert will bring our your dancing side with “Dance, Dance, Dance” by Mary Donnelly and George Strid. Makana will be joined by the wonderful Lost Chords as we share the love of music at any age.
