This autobiographical storytelling work brings Peggy's deeply personal embodied life experience to the stage with B.C.-based Sarah Chase's innovative solo research. Peggy Baker is acclaimed as one of the most outstanding and influential contemporary dancers of her generation. Her unique abilities are the product of an education in both dance and theatre, pursued initially through the drama department of the University of Alberta, with The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, and in New York at the Martha Graham School and the Herbert Berghof Studio. “Peggy is a true dance bohemian: she knows how to play up against contemporary orthodoxy and turn it on its head. It’s why she is a great artist...There is always method in what she does, but what she does is always unexpected and always a joy to watch…”
