The Golden Ages of Television and Soccer. The End? Or Just the End of the First Season?

John Doyle is The Globe and Mail’s television critic writing about streaming services and television in his regular columns. He also writes about soccer for The Globe, and on occasions, The Guardian and The New York Times amongst others. He is also a Rotten Tomatoes “Top Critic”.

How much control do we have on what we watch?

Can we just switch channels to find what we want, or has television and the “Beautiful Game” been taken from us?

John Doyle has attended and written about numerous World Cups and spends his days researching and writing about all aspects of television.

He is known as a forthright journalist and television critic and is described as “always argumentative” by his own newspaper.

Never short of an opinion, he is perfectly qualified to advise us on what to watch on TV this fall and what Canada’s chances might be in Qatar.
